In the first half of 2018, Thuan An town’s total retail sales of commodities and services reached VND26.23trillion, a year-on-year increase of 2017.
The town is now home to more than 30,000 households getting involved in trade-service, 7 supermarkets, 7 plazas and 24 markets.
Over the past six months, the town preliminarily assessed the local civilized market implementation at Hai My and Phu Phong markets; focused on eradicating street markets; tightened control over market, food safety-hygiene and prevented trade fraud. There were 31 wrong cases with a total fine of more than VND416.7million and illegal commodities valued at more than VND345million destroyed.
Town-based economic cooperative units continued working stably. The town now has a total of 46 cooperative groups and 17 cooperatives, down 1 and up 3 compared to the corresponding period last year, respectively.
