In recent years, Binh Duong has paid attention to urban renovation and renewal, basically determined urban development areas in the south. In particular, Thu Dau Mot City orients towards urban development combined with renovation, renewal, adjustment of land use structure of organs, units that have been relocated. The renovation and renewal of former areas have changed the face of Binh Duong, now connect with new urban areas in terms of social and technical infrastructure in a synchronized manner, contributing to improve the quality of people's lives.
Namely, the function adjustment of previous land areas of state agencies, to invest in the construction of new parks, flower gardens. The result is more than 96 parks, flower gardens. In particular, Thuan An City has 28 industrial production establishments that closed down and were converted into residential areas. Thu Dau Mot City completed 65 green parks, flower gardens, is constructed the remaining 14 flower gardens. Thuan An City puts into use 3 parks and continues to perform other 5 park projects. Ben Cat Town invested in new construction of 3 parks and renovation of 3 parks. Di An City completed 3 new parks and is executing 2 park projects. In parallel, these localities also upgraded existing parks for community activities. This work has been supported by local people.
In addition, the renovation of urban engineering infrastructure received also attention, in which roads were expanded, upgraded, pavements were renovated with additional lighting system. Many residential, housing area projects are accelerated by investors according to the approved planning. In addition, street hygiene ans sanitation is maintained regularly, drainage system and power supply were expanded and upgraded, improving the proportion of urban people using electricity and clean water.
Many new urban areas formed
After the planning and zoning of urban areas in Thu Dau Mot City, Thuan An City, Di An City, Ben Cat Town, Tan Uyen Town was approved, along with the implementation of regulations on planning management and urban architecture, the development of spontaneous residential areas has had positive transformation. Currently, the sale of illegal land plots is corrected and has orientations in detailed planning. In order to solve the illegal land plot sale, the authorities gave detailed instructions to People's Committees of districts, towns and cities where had areas were allowed to sell land plots in residential areas; at the same time, often examine and check the selling of land plots.
Besides, high-scale real estate projects in the province created new motivation for the development of Binh Duong. A new modern urban area with central functional areas consisting of administrative center, commercial services, parks, residential areas etc. forms an attractive environment to attract domestic and foreign investors. In addition, high-class and large-scale real estate projects in the province have created with ideal living and working spaces, satisfying the increasing demands of residents. Investment projects in new urban areas, residential areas with good technical infrastructure were executed comprehensively, creating a new aesthetic urban appearance and bringing many utilities for the people. Many architectural works, urban landscapes have been invested, and formed modern, civilized urban spaces.
Based on the Prime Minister's approval, the province approved the adjustment of general planning, the planning of functional subdivisions of Binh Duong industrial-services-urban complex (referred to as Binh Duong complex). Accordingly, the Binh Duong complex project is integrated into Binh Duong Smart City project for the adjustment of the role, characteristics, and functions of the project (for new urban areas and component projects), with the goal to make this area become the city of knowledge, the connection center between the government-universities-enterprises, a living and working place of scientists, investors, foreign experts... The project has implemented high-quality residential and commercial services, such as: Becamex City, Sora Garden, Midori Park, Hiraki... and contributes to improving the quality of people's lives in Binh Duong.
With the good preparation for planning quality, investment in infrastructure and services, Binh Duong complex received large-scale events in 2018, 2019, such as the 20th WTA and Horasis Asia Meeting, and opens to Binh Duong many opportunities in investment attraction, learning and exchange of international experiences.
