For the National Target Program of Poverty Reduction, provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs advised Provincial People's Committee to approve a set of criteria for surveying poor and near-poor households in a multi-dimensional approach in the period 2018-2020; organized capacity building training and instructed the review of the approved new toolkit. In the coming time, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs will synthesize the results of poor and near-poor households review according to the new criteria set and at the same time instruct localities to enter poor and near-poor household data into provincial data management software.
In the first quarter, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development advised Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of the Prime Minister's decision on new rural construction project in urbanization process at district level from 2017 to 2020; Continued to draft criteria set for new rural construction at commune level in 2018-2020. The plan to mobilize capital for national target program of new rural construction in 2018 is about 1,765 billion VND.
At the meeting, Mr. Dung asked localities to accelerate the implementation of new rural construction at communes that had not met criteria, continue to improve the quality of criteria; Select a number of prominent models of each locality to develop exemplary models and to expand. In the coming time, the Steering Committee will strengthen regular and irregular inspection and supervision to ensure the effective implementation of programs in compliance with current regulations; timely detect, rectify and remove difficulties for localities.
