To impose more than 500 penalties for smuggling, trade frauds, and fake goods

In the first 6 months of 2019, competent agencies in the province examined, discovered, and imposed penalties on 503 violations of smuggling, trade frauds, and fake goods, and fined totally VND 59 billion 242 million. In particular, Provincial Tax Department detected 253 violations, fined over 43.3 billion VND; Customs Department fined over VND 13.4 billion; Market Control Bureau fined more than VND 462 million, confiscated 136m³ of sand, 938 fake shoes, sandals, 2,421 toy guns and many other goods... In addition, Economic Police under Provincial Police also collected a total fine of hundreds of millions VND for illegal sand mining, mini gas cylinders, unchecked pork and many other goods.

In the coming time, provincial competent agencies will continue to enhance anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeiting fighting activities, focus on inspecting counterfeit imported goods of Vietnamese origin, trading activities, and especially actively collaborated to inspect pork transport activities, detect and strictly handle the transporting pigs of unknown origin and failing to ensure animal hygiene... contributing to prevention and fighting of African swine fever.
