The provincial People's Committee issued a decision to approve the project "Improving productivity and product quality of SMEs in Binh Duong period 2017-2020". Accordingly, the lead agency of the project is the provincial People's Committee and project management agency is Department of Science and Technology. Subjects of the project are cooperatives, small and medium-sized enterprises of the province; public non-business units in the province that have laboratories, measurement rooms with the function of State management over product and goods quality and measurement; and related departments, agencies and units.
Specific objectives of the project are to achieve 52 products that are certified and announced to achieve standard conformity; 20 construction enterprises apply and certify quality management systems according to management standards; 9 enterprises apply some quality improvement tools suitable to enterprises (5S, QCC...); 16 enterprises to win National Quality Award and the Asia-Pacific Award.
