On December 12, leaders of Dau Tieng District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee received and worked with a high-level delegation of Champasak province (Laos) and Ba Chieng, Sanasumbun Districts.
Receiving the delegation were Nguyễn Minh Thủy, Provincial Party Standing Committee's Member, Head of Provincial Party Organization Committe; representatives of leaders of departments and branches. On the Champasak side, there were Vatsana Silima, Member of Champasak Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; heads of departments, and branches.
At the meeting, the two sides shared achievements in socio-economic development over the past period; exchanged and discussed development cooperation orientations in the coming time.
Nguyen Phuong Linh, Chairman of Dau Tieng District People's Committee, said that this visit is an important foundation for Dau Tieng, Ba Chieng, and Sanasumbun Districts develop a specific cooperation program in 2023.
Based on potential, advantages and conditions of the parties, leaders of Dau Tieng District and leaders of Ba Chieng and Sanasumbun Districts agreed on assiting enterprises in cooperation and trade promotion, investment cooperation in agricultural and tourism fields. In addition to economic fields, in the coming time, the localities will deploy cooperation programs in socio-cultural fields.
Vatsana Silima expressed her deep gratitude for the warm welcome of leaders, officials and people of Dau Tieng district particularly and Binh Duong province generally. Vatsana Silima hoped that through this visit, the friendship relationship between Dau Tieng district and Ba Chieng district, Binh Duong province and Champasak province within the framework of Vietnam- Laos friendship will be more tightened; he hopes that Dau Tieng and Ba Chieng Districts would soon conduct trade promotion and investment cooperation to develop together.
Previously, in July 2022, in the presence of leaders of Binh Duong and Champasak provinces, leaders of District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Dau Tieng District visited, worked and signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation with Ba Chieng District.
