In the morning of June 6, the provincial People's Committee held a preliminary meeting to coordinate the fight against smuggling, trade frauds and fake goods in the first six months of the year, deploying tasks in the last 6 months of 2018. Tran Thanh Liem, Vice President Provincial People's Committee Chairmen of Steering Committees of 389 provinces presided over the meeting. In the first 6 months, functional forces have arrested and dealt with smuggling, trade frauds and fake goods is 4,695 cases, down 3.4% over the same period of 2017, with the total amount of fines and arrears VND 208 billion 249 million, down 2.9% over the same period of 2017. The main violations are trade frauds, illegal trade in illegal goods, illegal goods, goods of unknown origin and production of counterfeit goods infringing intellectual property rights. On this occasion, 18 collectives and 36 individuals were granted provincial People's Committees awarded certificates of merit.
