On 22 Feb, Dang Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, received and worked with Vijay Padamanabhan, Asian Development Bank's Director of Urban Development and Water Sector, on investment for urban development, urban water supply and drainage.

ADB is an international credit institution that has been successful in ODA projects in Binh Duong in many different areas, including the supply of clean water, environmental sanitation, urban drainage, collection and treatment of domestic wastewater, environmental protection. At the meeting, Mr. Padamanabhan wished to continue financing development investment projects in Binh Duong and hoped provincial leaders to introduce and allow ADB to access projects as well as guiding steps about the next procedure.
Mr. Hung thanked ADB's support and other international credit institutions. Binh Duong is currently the only province in the country to be recognized and a member of the World Technopolis Association. Therefore, capital needs for urban development, environmental protection, improvement of people's life quality are necessary. Provincial People's Committee is selecting appropriate funding sources and assigning leaders of relevant departments and agencies to study and give advices about procedures in order for international credit institutions, including ADB, to approach and cooperate in accordance with regulations...
