Provincial People's Committee has issued an Official document to accelerate disbursement and completion of the public investment plan in 2020. This is one of seven task groups and solutions to support businesses and growth according to the Prime Minister's Directive No. 11/CT-TTg of 4 March 2020 on urgent tasks and solutions to remove difficulties for production and business, ensure social security in response to the Covid-19.
Accordingly, Provincial People's Committee asked departments, agencies and people's committees of districts, towns and cities to urgently complete investment procedures and hand over the plan of public investment capital in 2020; accelerate the implementation and disbursement process of the remaining public investment plan for 2019 and 2020 (including ODA); direct and soon complete, put into use large and important infrastructure works, maximize design capacity and socio-economic efficiency. Provincial People's Committee also required to regularly check and take measures to remove difficulties to ensure the progress, volume and quality of works.
It is estimated that in the first quarter of 2020, the total value of disbursement of public investment capital in the province was VND 665 billion, reaching 5% target. Currently, a number of projects funded by State capital in the province are being sped up, such as: Thu Bien - Dat Cuoc project; 1,500-bed General Hospital project... Provincial People's Committee also asked investors, project managers to have detailed plans, monitor, urge contractors to increase manpower, machinery, equipment, organize overtime working to accelerate construction progress; urgently complete the procedures of selecting contractors to commence projects, especially key constructions...
