Due to new developments of the COVID-19, all industrial parks (IPs) and enterprises in the province are urgently activating solutions to prevent and control the epidemic at the highest level, while maintaining production and business.

To ensure safety
Although Binh Duong is a province with large numbers of industrial zones and workers, IPs in the province have not recorded any positive cases for SARS-CoV-2. However, due to the complicated and unpredictable epidemic situation; in particular, the epidemic has spread into industrial zones in northern provinces, the risk of epidemic outbreaks in provincial industrial zones is great.
Speaking at a recent meeting of Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, Nguyễn Hoàng Thao, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the risk of disease outbreaks in the province is growing, neglect will cost us no time to manage. Therefore, it is imperative to assess and upgrade measures to prevent and control the epidemic. Provincial Party assigned Management Board of Provincial Industrial Parks and asked enterprises to activate the highest level of disease prevention and control.
In industrial parks and enterprises, it is advisable to split workshops and production lines into smaller parts for supervision. To develop scenarios to actively respond and handle suspected cases at business establishments. Besides, companies need to calmly implement measures to prevent, detect, isolate, localize, stamp out and treat the pandemic. To actively coordinate with authorities in zoning, investigating and tracing cases related to infected persons; set up plans and prepare sites for isolation at enterprises when necessary.
Provincial leaders also recommended businesses regularly check and remind workers to strictly follow the "5K" message of Ministry of Health, especially wearing face masks; implement appropriate distance between workers in production and daily life activities. To regularly clean and disinfect facilities of companies and industrial zones, arrange and install automatic disinfection machines at exit and entrance of enterprises, advise workers to limit contact with crowds after working hours. Head of an enterprise are responsible for the prevention and control of epidemic in their organization, and only maintains production and business activities if disease prevention control conditions are guaranteed.
To raise the alert level
According to Management Board of Provincial Industrial Parks, there are currently nearly 3,000 projects operated in industrial zones. The Management Board has implemented and thoroughly disseminated the implementation of Provincial Party Resolution, the plan of Provincial People's Committee on socio-economic development, national defense - security right from beginning of the year to all civil servants, officials and workers. With the drastic implementation of the whole system, most enterprises in provincial industrial zones are in stable operation and developing according to the set orientation.
Nguyễn Thành Trung, Deputy Head of Management Board of Provincial Industrial Parks, said that provincial industrial parks have raised the warning level for disease prevention control at enterprises to the highest level. The Management Board coordinated with Department of Health to develop a plan for disease prevention control in industrial parks, and identified specific goals and tasks of each unit. Provincial Industrial Parks' Management Board is seriously and effectively implementing urgent measures to prevent and control the epidemic under the direction of the Prime Minister and provincial leaders. To regularly send officials directly to industrial parks to support, cooperate with local authorities to isolate experts and foreign workers from epidemic areas; all determine not to let the disease spread into IPs and communities.
Management Board of Provincial Industrial Parks also popularized medical declaration mobile app for enterprises to update, disseminate and encourage workers to actively declare health conditions; at the same time, collaborated with the Management Board of IPs in neighboring provinces and cities, where have outbreaks, to strictly control the movement of workers and foreign experts, serve the investigation and tracing of suspected cases. To increase inspection and unscheduled inspection of the implementation of epidemic prevention control measures at enterprises.
All companies in provincial industrial zones actively take effective measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 to stabilize production and business development. At Polytex Far Eastern Vietnam Company in Bau Bang Industrial Park, before starting to work, all officials and workers of the company have to have body temperature measured, wear face masks, disinfect hands to ensure a safe production environment. A company representative said that 100% of employees in the company maintained wearing face masks, body temperature measurement twice a day in the early morning and early afternoon, and declared health status daily.
