From Thu Dau Mot town Public Works Factory existing in the subsidization period, Binh Duong Urban Works One-member Company has so far become one of the State-run companies with environmentally friendly standards in the locality.The State-run company specializes in hygiene-water drainage, parks and green trees care and management and public lighting system control… The company has so far had a stable manpower with about 300 people. The company apparatus is held neatly with 3 professional rooms and 7 production-business teams.
With stimulated experiences over 20 years, the company has easily adapted to business conditions in the market structure. As statistics, since 2005, the company has cleaned thousands of square meters of roads and pavements, transported 300,000 tons of waste, and washed millions of square meters of routes.
In terms of water drainage work, the company often dredges 15,000m3 of mud. Besides, the company spent over VND10bil to purchase dump trucks to collect and transport waste, ensuring environmental hygiene in the locality.
Beside water drainage and sanitation, the company has managed and cared 7,000 green trees, 29,000 grass covers, 3,500 ornamental trees… In addition, the company’s public lighting teams has controlled over 6,000 sets of lights, 230 traffic light cabinets. With its responsibility, the company has given good advices for functional agencies to effectively use national energy source.
However, according to Nguyen Van Tri, the company chairman cum director, the above achievements are just initial results, the company has to make greater efforts to meet the rising demand of society. Therefore, the company must continue investing in material facilities to replace labor in harmful working environment.
Lastly, the company’s capital was transferred to Thanh Le Trade – Import-Export Company. With a potential of capital from the mother company, it is believed that Binh Duong Urban Works One-member Company will be a fellow-traveler with the local development to create a clean, green and beautiful urban area.
