In recent years, along with the development of industrial production, Ben Cat Town has been focused on trade and service development. The results showed that such development has well satisfactory to public consumption needs, promoting socio-economic development in the town.

High growth maintained
Up to date, Ben Cat Town has 10 industrial parks and clusters covering 3,255.64 hectares which have been basically covered. The town also has 45 residential and urban areas covering 2,999 hectares, satisfying the local housing needs well.
In 2015, service value of Ben Cat Town is estimated to gain VND 10,610.3 billion, increasing by 34.2% higher than in 2014 and meeting the year’s target. In the year, the town has issued 2,247 business licenses to household businesses at the cost of VND 831.280 billion. Besides, passenger and commodity transportation networks have covered the town with 222 vehicles meeting local travelling needs, especially during Tet and holidays.
In 2015, Ben Cat Town has organized various activities to promote the bringing of Vietnamese commodities to rural areas for majority of rural shoppers. Concurrently, the banking system of the town has been invested into and expanded, meeting the loan needs of enterprises and the public in the town. The system of telecommunication and posts, social housing, hospitals, and schools have been invested into and upgraded.
In general, trade and services in the town, in 2015, have been relatively stable with diversified and rich supplies of foods. Particularly, the commodity prices in the town have been stable without the occurrence of price hike and commodity speculation. Meantime, the market inspection and control have been timely in place to prevent smuggling, fakes, low quality commodities, and commodities of no origin for functional agencies to thoroughly implement.
To improve quality of trade and services
Nguyen Hong Khanh, Secretary of Ben Cat Town Party Committee informed that socio-economic status of the town has eyed distinct changes. Trade and services have grown both in scales and quality. Some services of strong development include transportation, credit, banking, post and telecommunication, retail system, and markets have efficiently support the development of economic sectors. As for trade infrastructure, the town has taken care of and implemented socialization of markets, trade centers, hospitals, and schools.
Nguyen Hong Khanh added that the local Party Committee and People’s Committee, for the time to come, would lead and demand for diversified and improved trade and services with prioritization for fast growth of services holding great advantages of the town. Ben Cat Town will be focusing on sustainable and fast economic development including human resources, banking, finance, information, and transportation.
For the time to come, Ben Cat Town will be resolving business registration certificates to promote economic components in local businesses and services while re-organizing trade orders in the town, contributing to assurance of traffic safety, orders, and food safety and hygiene. For enterprises implementing programs of price-stabilized commodities for the public and workers in industrial parks, the town will keep on facilitating their assignments. Besides, the town is promoting effective operations of passenger transportation station in the town to ensure good services of local people’s travelling and commodity transportation.
