In 2018, TDM city’s trade-service sector continued gaining a strong change. This sector is defined as a major task and is a motivation for the development of the first-class city under the provincial management.
Obvious change
Since being recognized as a first-class city, TDM has further focused on tapping its potential and absorbing all resources for the local trade-service development. In fact, the city’s Party Committee during the 2016-2020 period has defined targets, tasks and solutions for the local trade-service sector till 2020.
Particularly, the city has bent on building up the local trade-service system; continued simplifying administrative procedures, thereby saving time for enterprises and locals; organized dialogues with enterprises for timely support, helping them keep their mind for production-business; paid attention to site clearance and compensation…
The city is now home to many large-scale trade-service projects, namely Big C, Aeon Mall…Along with calling for investment in recreational areas, trading projects…, the city has boosted socialization for investment in upgrading markets, promoting convenient stores towards civilization to meet customers’ demand as well as protecting their rights and interests.
Continuing strongly investing in trade-service
To achieve the above-mentioned result, along with the instruction and attention of the province, the city has proposed many open policies, creating an attractive investment climate for domestic and foreign enterprises. But, the city’s trade-service sector has still faced some shortcomings for change.
According to the city’s leaders, the city will further realize political tasks with the position of a first-class city under the provincial management. To meet increasing demand for hi-quality services, the city has set a target of creating the vigorous shift of the local economic structure with focus on trade-service development, which is also a motivation for the economic growth of the province.
The city’s People’s Committee has mobilized all resources to invest in plazas, supermarkets, entertainment services…; researched and advised high authorities on issuing preferential policies for enterprises in trade-service sector . In addition, the city’s People’s Committee has also asked for relevant agencies to tighten control over the market; encouraged the local households to foster services at the society’s demand to be line with the scale of a first-class city under the provincial management.
It is known that the whole city now has a total of 7,821 enterprises and 21,446 individual business households. There is also a chain of food stores from the world’s great corporations, namely Lotteria, King BBQ, Jollibee…together with convenient outlets, contributing to diversifying the local trade-service sector.
