Under plans, by 2020, Binh Duong Province shall have approximately 129 markets, 24 supermarkets, and 37 commercial centers. Currently, Binh Duong Province has 86 markets, 10 suppermarkets at the cost of VND 250 billion. About 20% of the current trading facilities have been overloaded and/or degraded while the others are being rennovated to win back customers’ buying.
Commercial centers mushroom in Binh Duong Province
Cho Dinh Market is now on of the hustle markets in the province. Costing up to VND 8 billion of construction, this market is servicing public needs of daily commodities.
“It is now all good to be a merchant in this spaceful market not the make-shift one as before,” said a merchant named Nguyen Thi Minh Tuyet at Cho Dinh Market.
From 2004 up to date, Provincial People’s Committee and Department of Industry and Trading have coordinated with Department of Construction to develop plenty of markets in Binh Duong Province in accordance with TCVN 351:2006 and Decision No. 13/2006/QD-BXD dated April 19, 2006 of Ministry of Construciton and other related documents.
Consumers are more and more familiar with buying at commercial centers
In addition to 4 current supermarkets in Thu Dau Mot City, the provincial authority is planning to construct 14 new supermarkets across localities of Tan Uyen, Di An, Phu Giao, Ben Cat, and Dau Tieng.
Commercial centers are the production of a modern society. And, in Binh Duong Province the current 7 commercial centers of Becamex Tower, Binh Duong Center, Minh Sang, Hong Thao, Dong Phu, An Binh, and Song Than have been strongholds of a modern city. By 2020, this number shall be increased to 37 under investment plans of VND 7,475 billion. Of the earliest completion, Binh Duong Plaza is expected to receive its first customers in the beginning of 2013. Besides, other 9 commercial centers in the 2012-2015 period are being built. The remaining ones shall be completed during the period of 2016-2020.
Thu Dau Mot City and Thuan An Town are the two attractive locations for building commercial centers luring prestige companies of Surbana Land International Pte. Ltd., Thanh Le Corporation, Becamex IDC, Biconsi, Phuc Cuong Co. Ltd., Lotte Co. Ltd., GoucoLand Vietnam Co. Ltd., Truong Phong Real Estates JSC, and others.
In parallel with socio-economic development of Binh Duong Province, the infrastructure development of markets, supermarkets, and commercial centers has sustainably promoted business and trade in the locality in a bid to improve ratio of services.
