The province’s selection of typical rural industrial products has created favorable conditions for rural industrial facilities to promote their products, contributing to the local rural economic development. It has also aimed to brace up rural industrial facilities in general and those with products selected in particular to get more active in fostering hi-quality products and make the best of the local advantages.
Stimulating creativeness
Ba Nhat Rattan and Bamboo Cooperative in Tan Uyen town’s Uyen Hung ward is a typical example for this. Nguyen Thi Cuc, Chief of the cooperative said that the cooperative’s products have just been selected as one of the province’s typical rural industrial ones in 2016. This is also the target of the cooperative. All the cooperative’s products have experienced careful tests in terms of quality, design and safety and are suitable to customers’ taste in many countries worldwide. The cooperative has also regularly improved products’ patterns at customers’ demand. The cooperative’s products are present in more than 30 countries in the world with the annual export turnover of more than US$10mln. So far, the cooperative has generated jobs for more than 30,000 rural laborers with difficult circumstances and those who are learners of rehabilitation centers…In Binh Duong alone, the cooperative has provided jobs for more than 400 laborers with the average income of between VND5mln and VND6mln per capita per month.
Tu Bon Lacquer One-Member Co.Ltd. in TDM city’s Tuong Binh Hiep ward is also one of enterprises winning the “2016 provincial typical rural industrial product” title. Le Ba Linh, Director of the company said that the selection has contributed to stimulating creativeness of the company’s staff in designing new patterns in line with the market. It has also helped promoting the company’s products as well as affirming their quality to customers.
Through the selection, the company has also been well-known and received orders from domestic clients, making its total sales reach considerable growth.

Tu Bon Lacquer One-Member Co.Ltd. has gradually innovated its machines, equipment to increase productivity, reduce labor and material costs for better competitiveness. The result has come from many programs launched by the State, including the “typical rural industrial products” selection. With many efforts, the company won four prizes of typical rural industrial products at provincial level and one at regional level in 2012; 3 prizes at provincial level in 2014; 5 prizes at city level, 4 prizes at provincial level in 2016 and there are also 3 products of the company suggested to attend the selection of typical rural industrial products at regional level.
Mr.Linh added that the company will attach special importance to making gift products with designs depicting Vietnam’s traditional cultural features, famous places. They will be supplied to tourist sites nationwide.
According to enterprises, the province’s selection of typical rural industrial products has contributed to promoting the local rural economy. Vo Van Cu, Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) said that the selection has helped the province set up a database on the local typical rural industrial products. This is also part of the province’s annual industrial promotion program, contributing to giving an impulse to the local rural industrial sector.
For better results, provincial DoIT will direct its Industrial Promotion and Development Consultancy Center to have good coordination with relevant agencies, divisions of economics of districts, towns and TDM city to absorb more products for the annual “typical rural industrial products” selection of the province.
