Today, June 3, provincial Department of Industry and Trade holds the 2016 awards conference for typical rural industrial products. The selection of typical rural industrial products aims to foster production and expand market, contributing to promoting the local rural industrial development.
Creating motivation for rural economic development
Honoring typical rural industrial products aims to create a motivation for rural economic development. Its greater significance is to pay tribute to those who have made contributions to the national prosperity.

Based on the above things, in 2010, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular No.35/2010/TT-BCT regulating the organization for selecting typical rural industrial products. And then, the Ministry continued promulgating Circular No.26/2014/TT-BCT on August 28, 2014 to replace the Circular No.35. Accordingly, the selection of typical rural industrial products is held every two years at national, regional, provincial and district levels.
The selection focuses on groups of handicrafts, farm – forest – fishery products, mechanic equipment, machinery, mechanical parts and other groups. This year, the province has sorted out 24 typical rural industrial products that met criteria on revenue, capacity at market demand, technology…Many products participating in the selection come from the local famous production facilities, namely Thanh Binh Le Trading-Services Co.Ltd., Phu Long Tan Co.Ltd., Ba Nhat Rattan-Bamboo Cooperative…
Opening up new development ways
Le Ba Linh, Director of Tu Bon Lacquer One-Member Co.Ltd. in TDM city’s Tuong Binh Hiep ward said that through the selection, the company’s products have got famous and received orders from domestic clients. The company has also gradually innovated production equipment to increase productivity, reduce costs of workers and materials for better competitiveness. The company had four products recognized as provincial-level typical rural industrial ones and one at regional level in 2012; 3 at provincial level in 2014; 5 at city level, 4 at provincial level and 3 suggested to attend the regional-level selection in 2016.
According to Tran Tien Nam, CEO of Quang Minh Trading-Production Co. in Ben Cat town, the selection has created a motivation for the company to design new patterns in line with the market. Products stuck with Vietnam’s typical rural industrial product stamps have helped win clients’ faith, thereby contributing to generating stable jobs for the local laborers.
Phan Thi Khanh Duyen, Director of the Industrial Promotion Center under provincial Department of Industry and Trade said that provincial People’s Committee’s decision of recognition for typical rural industrial products is seen as a message to attest the trademark of each facility. This has also opened up better development ways and integration for facilities making rural industrial products. In addition, the selection has helped these facilities to get access to the State’s support policies.
