In the 2014-2016 period, the whole province had a total of 34.263 farmers recognized as good ones at all levels. Many effective models were also developed with the annual income of billions of dong. Provincial Farmers’ Association and its branches also teamed up with the local agricultural sector and economic organizations to hold 1,404 classes on sci-tech transfer, 1,170 seminars on using fertilizer, pesticide and tending fruit trees. They also organized 410 short-term vocational classes for more than 8,000 learners, contributing to improving the quality of farmers’ life.
In addition, they considered and provided more than VND101billion in loan for 4,190 farmers from provincial Support Fund for Farmers to implement 260 projects on animal husbandry, cultivation and services; coordinated with the provincial branch of the Bank for Social Policies to disburse VND466billion in loan for 23,530 farmers to develop home based business.
Mr.Vinh added that provincial Farmers’ Association and its branches will further promote the emulation movement by concrete measures, including boosting propaganda work to change farmers’ thought in production and business towards high quality and profit value…They will also attach special importance to providing farmers with necessary knowledge to be able to catch opportunities, overcoming challenges in the process of international integration; establish business clubs, groups…
