Urban image
Binh Nham, Hung Dinh in the past were attached to orchards, canals along Sai Gon River. Famous image of the two communes is a bridge named Cau Ngang where possesses a famous eco-tourism area. Unlike other localities, the two communes have no image of industrial parks. Therefore, main income of the localities is from agriculture, service and trade.
As such, since Thuan An has become a town, Hung Dinh and Binh Nham also start a race to become wards. Flow of basic construction capital for urban and service-trade works has been increased sharply. Binh Nham commune People’s Committee chairman Le Van Hieu, said “we annually enjoy investments worth hundreds of billions of VND to build roads and grassroot cultural facilities. Expectedly, our commune will reach standards of becoming ward by June ahead”.
Binh Nham and Hung Dinh will become wards by the middle of this year. Now, Hung Dinh and Binh Nham are developing on trade and service.
Sustainable development
After completing criteria and becoming 2 among 9 wards of Thuan An town by June, 2013, Hung Dinh and Binh Nham will contribute greatly to Thuan An town’s completion of urban image in the Northern area.
Urban space will open many opportunities for both two wards through investments in infrastructure facility and service and trade. Le Van Hieu added that “Once becoming a ward, we will develop more sustainably and spur eco-tourism service development in combination with hi-tech agriculture”.
The common character of the 2 communes lies in Lai Thieu orchard. This is a favorable condition for both 2 localities to develop eco-tourism model along Sai Gon River.
Farmer Nguyen Van Sau in Binh Phuoc hamlet said that once becoming a ward, his garden will be located on the front of BN49 road and he will change new model of business. This will bring breakthroughs for many farmers in Binh Nham and Hung Dinh communes. Becoming wards will bring many chances for local farmers to improve their income.
Positive change of the two communes is a result of efforts made by local authorities and people.
