Tan Binh in Di An town was seen as the heroic land in the war. Today, it is under a vigorous change towards urbanization.
Changes
Tan Binh was the heroic land in the war. In the first years of the renewal period, the ward faced difficulties in economic development, due to unfavorable geography. But in recent years, it has risen up and become one of Di An town’s bright spots in economic development, improving the lives of the local people.

Tan Binh today with spacious infrastructure
In 2012, Bui Thi Xuan street was opened to traffic with a total length of 4.2km, facilitating the local people’s traveling and goods transportation. The ward also inaugurated and put Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street into operation in 2013. The two streets have synchronous infrastructure with a width of 22 meters, paying way for the local services development. Noticeably, the local people have contributed money, land and working days to building tens of streets.
Since 2010, the ward has developed 7 residential areas with total investment capital of thousands of billions of dong from enterprises, improving the local urban image.
Nguyen Van Thien Dang, Chairman of Tan Binh ward’s People’s Committee said that after the local traffic system perfected together with the completion of Tan Van-My Phuoc expressway, Tan Binh has become an ideal destination for thousands of immigrants to live and work in peace and contentment.
In recent years, Tan Binh ward has attached special importance to basic construction. Along with the above residential areas, thousands of houses and villas have loomed large across the ward, helping it become a crowded locality of Di An only for a short time. As of late 2014, the ward’s total population has amounted to more than 40,000 people, showing the local absorption.
Faith of new day
Tan Binh ward has reached a boom in industrial and trade-services activities in 2014.
The whole ward is now home to 385 lodging facilities with 3,135 rooms, 3 times higher than that of 2013 and 200 times higher than that of 2006. Also, there has been a rapid increase on other business services, contributing to bringing stable incomes the local people.
Under the spirit of “the State and people work together”, the local people have voluntarily donated land to building traffic works, greatly contributing to the local economic development. The local industrial manufacture has so far reached a stable evolution with 64 companies in industries of furniture, steel, garment-textile, food processing…, creating jobs for thousands of laborers in and out of the locality.
The brightest spot of Tan Binh ward during the development process is the urban field. Many residential areas have loomed large across the ward, helping it become an ideal destination for immigrants to live.
With methodically-built traffic system plus the great efforts by the local government and people, Tan Binh ward has become a bright spot in the socio-economic development process of Di An town. Over the past four years, the ward spent more than VND200mln on infrastructure development, turning it into an ideal destination for investors and residents in and out of the province.
