A rapid pace of growth
Nguyen Trong Hung, resident in Uyen Hung township revealed that 10 years ago, Uyen Hung was a deserted land but now Uyen Hung has changed completely with a strong development. The industrial development accompanied with increased on workforce has formed up a well-invested and extended traffic infrastructure. Trade services’ development has helped local people improve income.
Nguyen Van Suong, chairman of Uyen Hung township People’s Committee said that Uyen Hung’s economic structure has been under development on industry-service trade-agriculture. Especially, the locality has concentrated on developing industry – trade and service and made the effort to reach an average income of about VND27mil per capita per year.
At present, Uyen Hung township is home to 78 businesses under steady operation, 37 of which are foreign companies.
The township has 2 projects of Ba Nghia industrial compound and Uyen Hung trade and residential area under construction. These projects will create an important motivation for Uyen Hung’s economic development.
Trade and service are one of key action plans to develop local economy. The township has one trade center, more than 2,000 service workshops, 189 of which are lodging house business facilities. Trade business system in the locality has basically met local residents’ demand.
In order to satisfy local economic development, Uyen Hung township authority has concentrated on investing in infrastructure facility. In addition, the locality has mobilized local households to expand and upgrade roads and invest in medical and educational works.
Along with development of industry, trade and service and infrastructure facility, Uyen Hung township has headed for building an administration model in conformity with local socio-economic development.
With rapid development of economy, Uyen Hung has created a new image, deserving the provincial common development and meeting Tan Uyen’s socio-economic development requirement.
Heading for sustainability
In reality, the township remains some shortcomings relating to poor management of mineral exploitation, urban order, housing construction and so on. To improve these shortcomings, Uyen Hung township will focus on cooperating with functional agencies to build inspection plans.
Uyen Hung township has continuously mobilized and facilitated investors’ projects as well as urged sources to upgrade, improve and newly build infrastructure facilities of trade and service.
Building and developing a civilized and sustainable urban area is the main goal set out by Uyen Hung township authority and people.
