Rich food supply shall prevent price hiking and goods scarcity as informed by Department of Industry and Trade regarding the goods supply during Tet Holiday. At the moment, producers and businesses in the province have been ready for supplying goods, especially goods of necessity, fresh foods, fruits, and confectionary to the market.
The supply ensured
Currently, many farmers at Thanh Phuoc Ward of Tan Uyen Town are concentrating on taking care for ornamental plants and flowers to service the market during Tet Holiday. However, they also preserve land for vegetables to meet the demands. At the vegetable garden of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Danh at Tan Luong Quarter of Thanh Phuoc Ward, the planted seedlings are of good growth. He divides many times of sowing on 5,000 square meters of land. In one week, he can harvest amaranth, then Malabar nightshade for Tet Holiday. Danh informs that every day he can harvest 300 kilograms of vegetables selling directly to buyer. In a thorough circulation, he can now supply vegetables all year round.

Mr. Le Hieu Nhan, Chair of Thanh Phuoc Ward Farmer Association informed of such approach to supply for the market during Tet Holiday.
Together with robust preparation of farmers, major suppliers of the province have been ready to supply products of necessity including confectionary, packaged foods, processed foods, and beverage. Mr. Vo Huu Thach, Director of CoopMart Binh Duong informed of the plan to stock up goods at about VND 127 billion to supply for the market during Tet Holiday including domestic goods for price stabilization of over VND 45 billion. Comparing to Tet Holiday 2014, goods for Tet Holiday 2015 increased by 20%. Up to date, suppliers and traders have stocked up their goods at storehouses to be prepared for Tet supply. As for fresh foods, they shall apply circulation supply to ensure fresh and bargain priced products.
Price and supplying sources checked
This year, Binh Duong Province eyes 12 establishments participating into goods stocking up to stabilize market prices at the cost of over VND 880 billion. Of the establishments, two were offered preferential loans at 0% of interest rate to offer VND 40 billion of goods value to supply for the market. Currently, Department of Finance has approved the prices of such goods to be supplied for the market during Tet Holiday. The approved prices are applicable from January 01 through March 31.
Meantime, Department of Industry and Trade has worked with BigC, Aeon Mall, Binh Duong Lotte Mart, and foreign enterprises in the fields of supermarket organizations to plan for Tet supply. Currently, such businesses have fulfilled goods storing to ensure supply of all sorts of goods for Tet Holiday. Department of Industry and Trade has also proposed to local people’s committees the market place planning and location selections for mobile goods supply at stabilized prices at populated areas and administrative borders to improve scale and quality of the service. Beforehand, the activities shall be oriented to the end of February. The duration of goods offerings shall be twice to thrice at a time to supply various goods.
