On the afternoon of August 4, the Vietnam Bank for Social Polices (VBSP)’Binh Duong branch forwarded a conference to partially review its activities in the first half of 2015, which was presided over by Tran Thanh Liem, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

VBSP’s Binh Duong branch over the past 6 months opportunely provided more than 13,000 poor households and other social policy beneficiaries with loans. Particularly, the branch helped create new jobs for more than 4,000 laborers; provided nearly 500 needy pupils and students with loans for their learning; built nearly 18,000 works on clean water and environmental hygiene in the rural region. All created advantageous conditions for poor and policy beneficiary households to develop production models, step by step improving their lives, thereby contributing to fulfilling national targets on poverty reduction and job creation in the locality.
From now till year end, VBSP’s Binh Duong branch will implement resolutions of its directorate and directions of the local administration sufficiently and opportunely while directing the implementation of fulfilling 100% of the yearly growth plan with the ratio of arrears maintained below 0.5% of total outstanding loans.
Addressing the conference, Mr.Liem conducted the branch to further give provincial People’s Committee advice on balancing loan sources and programs pertaining to clean water, environmental hygiene, job creation…at the province’s demand.
