On the morning of August 17, Provincial Agricultural Encouragement Center in cooperation with he People's Committee of Thanh Tuyen Commune (Dau Tieng) held a ceremony to hand over the VietGAP certificate to mangosteen cooperative team of Thanh Tuyen commune under specialty fruit tree development project of Thanh Tuyen commune, Dau Tieng district from 2016 to 2018 (project).
After being approved by Provincial People's Committee, provincial Agriculture Encouragement Center in coordination with the Commune People's Committee and Farmer Association of Thanh Tuyen commune conducted survey and selection of local mangosteen growers meeting criteria for participation in the project. Through the survey, the project management team selected and demonstration models for mangosteen production under VietGAP with a total area of 22 ha/37 households; The average orchard age is about 17 years.

After more than one year of implementation, the project has step by step instructed the people to produce mangosteen trees in accordance with VietGAP process, improve mangosteen quality, ensure the health of producers, consumers, and protect the environment and product traceability. Up to now, the project has certified 6.6ha mangosteens produced according to VietGAP standards of 9 households (220% of the target).
