Vietnam BIFA Wood 2018 held in Binh Duong from 24 to 27 Oct 2018 will be an opportunity for manufacturers, importers, and distributors of wood machinery and materials to cooperate and develop together. Binh Duong Newspapers had an interview with Luu Phuoc Loc, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Furniture Association (BIFA), General Director of BIFA Trade and Services Joint Stock Company - the organizer of the fair.
- Could you introduce some features of Vietnam BIFA Wood’s Fair 2018? According to experts, Binh Duong is the ideal place for hosting machinery fair to serve the wood processing industry in the region as well as in the country. Please tell us more about the advantages of organizing this fair in Binh Duong?
- In order to help wood processing enterprises in Binh Duong province in particular and the country in general have an opportunity to update, find modern and effective technologies and machinery as well as other sources, BIFA in cooperation with Pablo Publishing Pte Ltd (Singapore) host the 2018 international fair of wood machinery and materials in Binh Duong province, Vietnam BIFA Wood 2018. The fair will be held from 24 to 27 Oct 2018 at Binh Duong Exhibition and Convention Center (01 Le Loi Street, Hoa Phu Ward, Thu Dau Mot City).
This year, the fair will be in-depth expanded and developed. The size of this year fair is doubled compared with that of last year, consists of 780 booths on an area of over 15,000m2. Up to now, 70 domestic enterprises and 150 foreign companies have registered to organize 778 booths, accounting for 99.6% planned number of total booths. The fair would attract more than 4,000 visitors. Vietnam BIFA Wood 2018 will be a chance for businesses to share their experiences, broaden their vision and connect with the world. The fair will also bring opportunities to look for peers and partners for business expansion, increase business opportunities in the region and the world.
Besides that Binh Duong is considered as the capital of national wood industry, it’s advantageous when Vietnam BIFA Wood 2018 is hosted in Binh Duong, because the enthusiastic support of Binh Duong leaders, Department of Industry and Trade, and other associations such as Binh Dinh Wood and Forest Association (Binh Dinh FPA), Dong Nai Wood and Handicrafts Association (Dowooha), Ho Chi Minh City Handicrafts and Wood Industry Association (HAWA)...

- What are the highlights of Vietnam BIFA Wood 2018? What is the specific meaning of these activities, sir?
- In addition to visiting the fair to experience advanced wood processing technology, machinery and equipment, and raw material supply sources throughout the world, we selected the most outstanding activities to bring customers other useful values . Namely, we will arrange specialized seminars presented by foreign experts; customer’s visits to the most modern factories in Binh Duong.
In addition, throughout four days, in addition to the exhibition, there will be seminars on automation technology in wood industry, raw materials from the US and Europe, and entertainment activities, services for the fair.
- It is known that at the fair will have many potential enterprises in wood industry from other countries and regions, what are your opinions and expectations of business opportunities brought by this fair?
- Customers of Vietnam BIFA Wood 2018 are diversified, including wood processing machine manufacturers from Italy, Germany, Denmark, Korea, Japan and China… and wood material suppliers in USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand. At the fair, enterprises will have many opportunities to promote and introduce their products, meet and create business relations with most of wood processing manufacturers in Binh Duong province - including FDI enterprises and enterprises throughout the country.
For FDI businesses, we expect this fair would give them a new perspective on wood industry of Vietnam in general, Binh Duong in particular, and a potential market in the future.
- Could you please talk more about specific development directions of BIFA Company in the future?
- In the future, BIFA Trade and Services Joint Stock Company would like to organize more international fairs to confirm that Binh Duong would be the center of wood production in Vietnam, with geographical advantages and abundant resource as today. BIFA Company hopes that its upcoming activities would continue to receive the support and trust of the Government and ministries, sectors and localities in order to further help timber industry reach its full potential, meeting demands of the world’s wood market trends.
