Opportunities for Binh Duong agricultural sector
Attending the opening ceremony of Vietnam Foodexpo 2015, Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee is very pleased to the exhibition. Liem added that the event is a very big chance for Binh Duong agricultural industry.
Farm produce, processed foods, beverages, and food processing and packaging technologies are on display at the first Viet Nam International Food Industry Exhibition that opened in HCM City.
Over the past years, after the program of transferring agricultural structure to urban and hi-tech agriculture development in attachment to processing industry for the period of 2011-2015 (action plan 26) is set out, the provincial agriculture industry has gained a strong change with a 4-5% increase in the total local agricultural production value.
Therefore, at the exhibition, though Binh Duong had many stalls introducing products of locality, local processing agricultural sector remained out of date, lacking synchronous development of technology.
With potential and internal force, Binh Duong’s agricultural sector enjoys many good opportunities to develop and renovate processing technology in line with the action plan 26. It is sure that after joining in the expo, Binh Duong’s processing agriculture will make up many chances of approaching domestic and international markets.
