Vietnam is one of the world’s factories
After more than 30 years of renewal, Vietnam has reached a very impressive economic growth and been appreciated as the model of changed economy with successes. Particularly, the country’s average economic growth reached 6.63% per year in the 1986 - 2017 period. The country’s economy is ranked 44th worldwide in terms of GDP and 34th in terms of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP). The Vietnamese income per capita has so far achieved nearly US$2,540. Vietnam is one of the world’s open economies at large level with total trade turnover equal to 200% of GDP. Vietnam’s investment climate has been constantly improved with stability in terms of society and politics.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung stressed that Vietnam has had an important position in the supply chain of the world. Joining in the world’s economic links has created diversification in the supply chain of Vietnam, helping minimizing impacts from international trade risks. Possibly affirming, taking part in Vietnamese market, businesses will have opportunities to get access to most major markets of the world.
Binh Duong is an ideal destination for investors
From a farming area 20 years ago, with renewal determination and development towards industrialization and modernization, Binh Duong has become a locality with industrial development. Over the past 10 years, the province’s economic growth was 9%-15%. The local economic structure was shifted towards industry-services and agriculture with the proportion of industrial manufacture accounting for more than 60% of GDP. The province was among the country’s top five localities in terms of FDI attraction.
For better development, Binh Duong has continued researching the Triple helix model (state – academia – businesses) model of “smart city” building towards a civilized, modern and environmentally friendly city.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Mr.Liem emphasized that the province’s efforts in building up a creative and innovative scientific community, a smart city and developing hi-tech economy were initially supported and acknowledged by the World Technopolis Association. In October, 2018, the province successfully organized the 11th General Assembly of the WTA, the 15th WTA Hi-tech Fair, the 2018 Global Innovation Forum on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the WTA. Prior to that, Binh Duong also officially became a member of the WTA. Binh Duong was honored recently as one of “The World’s 21 Smartest Cities in 2019” by the Intelligent Community Forum. With the above efforts, Binh Duong has continued being a reliable destination for the world’s investors.
He also affirmed that Binh Duong was very honorable when hosting the Horasis Asia meeting 2018. This is an opportunity to promote the image of Binh Duong with international partners and improve management capacity towards knowledge-based economy…
Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung said that Binh Duong is one of Vietnam’s top localities in FDI attraction. Over the past years, the province’s economy gained high growth and is expected at reaching the GRDP growth of 9.1% in 2018. The province’s economic structure shifted strongly with great proportion in terms of industrial manufacture and services. The province’s urbanization process also took place vigorously. Especially, thanks to having a favorable investment climate, the province has lured 3,478 FDI projects with US$31.7billion…He hopes that the Horasis Asia meeting 2018 will help more obviously defining vision of countries in the region. This will be the opportunity for businesses to meet and boost cooperation, especially they will enjoy investment opportunities in Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular.
