Vietnamese goods promoted in rural market

Bringing Vietnamese goods to the countryside is one of effective solutions to implement the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”. But, more effective solutions are needed to promote Vietnamese goods in the rural market.

Participating enterprises

Over the past time, province-based retail businesses, namely Mega Market, Big C, Lotte, Vinmart…, coordinated with localities in the province to hold many programs of bringing Vietnamese goods to the countryside. Co.opmart Binh Duong was one of active units in response to the local program on bringing Vietnamese goods to the countryside with 20 stages a year. Through the program, the supermarket brought rural people essential commodities sold at the price level that was 5%-50% lower than the market price.

At Thu Dau Mot market in Thu Dau Mot city, Thu Dau Mot Investment Trade and Services Joint Stock Company and the market’s Management Board have so far carried out the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” via establishing a customer protection group. The group now has a total of more than 380 members. The market’s Management Board has also regularly propagandized and mobilized small traders, people to purchase and sold domestic commodities…

Through the campaign, province-based businesses have recently grasped changes about the demand for consumption of people in the rural region for better supply. Hi-quality products of Vinamit, My Hao, Kinh Do, Rang Dong…have gradually affirmed their trademark in the market in general and in the rural region of the province in particular.

Joint efforts needed

In fact, organizing stages of bringing Vietnamese goods to the rural region in the province over the past time faced shortcomings for change.

Duong Bao Khuong, Deputy Director of Co.opmart Binh Duong said that province-based businesses have sought effective solutions to promote the rural market. For Vietnamese commodities and services winning the faith of customers at home and abroad, businesses need to show their ceaseless creativeness in product location and trademark building.

Di An town’s Fatherland Front Committee has also petitioned the local functional agencies to pay attention to supervision and investigation over goods quality when organizing market-days of Vietnamese goods and take measures to effectively handle wrong cases. For producers, they need to pay attention to improving the quality of products while building their trademark…All will help Vietnamese goods get better competitiveness.

Amid Vietnamese goods facing severe competitiveness from foreign ones, market-days of Vietnamese commodities to the countryside bear a great significance. Hence, the local functional agencies, enterprises and people need to make more efforts so that Vietnamese goods can make pervasion in the rural market.
