Vietnamese household plastic products dominate domestic market

The campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” has gradually improved domestic customers’ habit of using Vietnamese-made household plastic products. Realizing this, domestic household plastic producers have put focus on manufacturing hi-quality products with reasonable price.

The quick development on production technology, design and color of Vietnam’s household plastic sector in recent years has helped many Vietnamese plastic products  “dislodge” foreign ones from the domestic market. Vietnamese household plastic products have become domestic customers’ favorites, thanks to their beautiful design and reasonable price.

Thanks to the efforts by domestic producers, Vietnamese household plastic products dominated the domestic market with many renown brands like Dai Dong Tien, Duy Tan, Long Thanh, Song Long...One of Vietnamese products’ advantages in this field is that they are sold at price that is 20%-30% lower than imported ones. Their color and design are also very diversified.

According to Nguyen Van Hiep, a small trader in TDM city’s Phu Hoa ward, 90% of plastic products at his shop are domestic ones. Along with design and durability, domestic customers have paid attention to safety from household plastic products. Now, few customers like buying recycled plastic products because being afraid of their harmfulness. Knowing this, domestic producers have quickly launched hi-quality household plastic products with competitive price.

Dang Thi Loan, a resident in TDM city’s Chanh Nghia ward said that she has recently changed to purchasing household plastic products manufactured by domestic producers, namely Viet Nhat, Dai Dong Tien…This is because their design and color are very beautiful plus high durability and competitive price. Using domestic household plastic products has also expressed her patriotism, according to her. As surveyed, many other customers have had also the same point of view when selecting and using domestic household plastic products.

Trinh Thi Mai Han, Deputy Director of TDM city-based Co.opMart supermarket said that Vietnamese-made household commodities have reached great strides in terms of quality, design and price. More than 95% of household plastic products at the supermarket are domestic ones. Domestic producers in this field have also become more professional about after-sales services.

According to province-based enterprises and households trading household plastic products, there are now tens of Vietnamese brands for household plastic products. Many have won the title of “high-quality Vietnamese goods”, contributing to raising Vietnamese household plastic products’competitiveness in the domestic market.

Many domestic household plastic producers are striving to get access to new production technologies, enhancing the quality of their products for better competitiveness.
