Vietnamese products dominate Tết market

Supermarkets have become channels for stabilizing market prices and effective distribution of Vietnamese goods. Customers are joyful with major discount 10 to 40% across supermarkets.

Common goods of confectionary and drinks are on display for the coming Tết. This year, those kinds of products are various but not plenty for customers limit their favor of sweet products to consume more other products.

Prepared gifts are on sell and becoming choices of consumers in Tết

Supermarkets maintain their prices as way to stabilize market prices and to compete for attracting consumers. This defines different characteristics of this year’s consuming market. And more differently, Vietnamese goods are promoted more in this year’s programs rather than imported goods including clothings, shoes, foods, and comestics.

“I usually take into consideration of discount information of household goods so that I can afford to buy more for Tết in the face of price fluctuation,” said Ms. Tran Thi Hanh in Phu Tho Ward, Thu Dau Mot Town.

Besides from household goods, commodities as gifts are also strongly consumed this year. Prepared gifts range from VND 200,000 to over VND 1 million for Vietnamese brands of Xuan Hong, Kinh Do, Vinamit, Trung Nguyen, etc.

Tết market is hustle with buyers and sellers, thus, listed prices may fluctuates. As a result, consumers should be wise in selection among thousands of brand names.
