A large database center
VIS is located in Binh Hoa ward, Thuan An town on an area of 3,500sqm with the total capital of US$18mil. The center can accommodate 40,000 host computers under Tier 3, the set of the highest standards in Vietnam at present.
Viettel IDC Song Than helps develop local IT.
To meet the standards, VIS has equipped with 2 electric sources and used 8 generators and a 50,000 liter oil tank to run during 72 hours if power cut happens. Even groups of FPT, Mobifone, EVN Telecom… have had large database centers nationwide. However, compared to scale and limit, Viettel’s database centers are more significant. At present, Viettel has developed 4 Vietnam’s biggest database centers including Lang Hoa Lac, Phap Van, HCMC and Song Than, of which the biggest center is Song Than”.

Meanwhile, both businesses involving in IT industry and large companies have presently been in need of database storing, website development… Therefore, VIS’ birth has developed information storing service for agencies and businesses.
