After four years of implementing the campaign “Each organization, individual should stick to a humanitarian address, Phu Giao district’s Red Cross Society mobilized VND3.2bln in support from organizations and individuals, helping more than 25,390 turns of needy people.
Particularly, the local Red Cross Society mobilized organizations and individuals to build and present 34 houses of compassion worth VND750mln to people in need of housing; award 8,535 scholarships worth more than VND1bln to poor-but-excellent pupils; provide more than 51,600 kg of rice valued at more than VND52mln for 207 cases; organize 195 charity meals for poor patients at district’s hospital with a total cost of more than VND82mln.
The local Red Cross Society also teamed up with charity delegations of physicians in and out of the province to provide free medical check-ups and medicine for poor patients, lonely elderly people and children with difficulties with a total expense of more than VND900mln…
