The Standing Committee of provincial People’s Council convened a meeting yesterday to give ideas to public investment projects under the proposal of provincial People’s Committee at Statement No.1585/TTr-UBND dated May 24, 2016 and Statement No.1763/TTr dated June 3, 2016. Attending the meeting were Huynh Thanh Long, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Mai Hung Dung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of relevant sectors, departments and localities.
At the meeting, representative of provincial Department of Planning and Investment reported on the investment policy for projects of the group B within the competence of provincial People’s Council. Accordingly, there will be 43 public investment projects with total investment of VND5.73trillion, in which State administration over national defence-security includes 6 projects with more than VND1trillion; economic sector, 2 projects with more than VND1trillion; socio-cultural sector, 35 projects with more than VND3.71trillion. After assessing, provincial People’s Council’s Commission for Economics and Budget said that the implementation of the 43 investment projects is very necessary and is basically corresponding to the central and local orientations.
Concluding the meeting, Mr.Long agreed to the approval of 42 projects and said that the remaining one project is under the decision of provincial People’s Committee. He also suggested relevant agencies to further realize these projects as planned.
