Early May 13, provincial Party Standing Committee held a working session with the Party Committee of the Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG), led by Le Thanh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of the VRG. The meeting was also attended by representatives from provincial departments, leaders of Becamex IDC and VSIP.
During the session, both sides reviewed the progress of the implementation of the cooperation program signed between Binh Duong province and the Party Committee of VRG. To date, most of the key components of the implementation, including the consolidation of a steering committee to review and resolve obstacles in land-use projects under the VRG such as the expanded South Tan Uyen Industrial Park– Phase II, Rach Bap Industrial Park, Long Tan Industrial Compound, South Tan Uyen Residential Area and An Tay Residential Areahave been achieved... Le Thanh Hung, General Director of VRG said that the cooperation agreement between VRG, Becamex IDC and VSIP will uphold their existing strengths in finance, technology, infrastructure, experience and human resources to develop industrial infrastructure, urban areas and social housing. In addition, the consortium will also collaborate in the production and supply of large-scale clean energy, contributing to the “Net Zero” carbon neutrality target by 2050.
At the meeting, provincial Party Standing Committee highly appreciated the effective coordination between VRG and Binh Duong province over the past time as well as development orientations in the future. The cooperation between Becamex IDC and VRG should serve as a pillar and take the lead in coordination efforts, playing a pioneering role in driving development in line with the province’s strategic direction. Provincial Party Standing Committee emphasized that development cooperation must be based on VRG’s master plan as well as provincial planning approved by the Prime Minister for the 2025–2030 period, with a vision to 2050, in which environmental protection must be a top priority. VRG and Becamex IDC are expected to closely coordinate in the planning of 3,000 hectares of land to relocate industrial parks from the southern to northern regions of the province as well as in the planning of the 1,500-hectare Lai Hung Complex development.
