VRG: VND2.8trillion paid for State budget

The Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) last year tapped 25,340 tons of rubber latex, up 15,000 tons of rubber latex compared to the projection; purchased 50,964 tons of rubber latex from small rubber plantations and sold 344,335 tons of rubber latex, up 7.6% of the projection. A a result, VRG reached VND30trillion in total revenue, VND8.5trillion in pre-tax profit; paid VND2.8trillion for State budget; generated stable jobs for 130,000 laborers with the average income of VND7.2mln per person per month.

VRG also developed 39,249 hectares of newly-cultivated and re-cultivated area, bringing its total cultivation area at present to 358,322 hectares. Along with its business and production activities, VRG well realized national defence-security task; took good care of laborers’ lives and spent VND65bln on social charity activities. VRG was also awarded the Gold Star Order for its great contributions to the country’s economy last year.

According to VRG General Director Tran Ngoc Thuan, VRG will strive to reach its 10% growth in 2013.
