Work starts on Ho Chi Minh road project’s Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section

Early November 18, Deo Ca Group coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board to organize a ceremony commencing construction of Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section under the Ho Chi Minh Road project in Dau Tieng district’s An Lap commune. The event was attended by  Nguyen Van Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Transport; Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation; leaders of provincial People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Duy Lam, Deputy Minister of Transport said that the Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section is part of the planning of the North - South expressway in the west of the country (Ho Chi Minh Highway). This is a meaningful project with an important role, creating a driving force for socio-economic development, attracting investment and expanding the urban - industrial - trade - tourism - service development space of the Southeastern region. Once being completed, the Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa route will connect traffic smoothly and shorten time from the Central Highlands provinces through the Southeastern region to the Mekong Delta provinces, gradually completing the system of road traffic with inter-regional connection, reducing traffic load on existing roads.

The project to build Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section under Ho Chi Minh road project has a total length of about 72.75km with its starting point in Bau Bang district’s Tru Van Tho commune in Binh Duong province while its ending point intersects with National Highway N2 - now Ho Chi Minh Road in Long An province’s Duc Hoa district, with total investment of about VND 2.29 trillion, from State budget. The section through Binh Duong province with about 31.6km long and 30m wide with some construction items.
