World Trade Center of Binh Duong New City (WTC BDNC) is a project in the overall development of Binh Duong smart city. In Nov 2019, Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to announce BDNC WTC project and signed a development strategic cooperation. On Dec 4, at Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, WTC BDNC in collaboration with BW Industrial, European Association in Vietnam (EUROCHAM), and Hong Kong Trade Promotion Agency will hold the "WTC Trade Connection Program 2020".

WTC BDNC is built at the new city center's roundabout, right next to Administrative Center of Binh Duong province. Huynh Dinh Thai Linh, Director of WTC BDNC, said: “Binh Duong is constructing the WTC BDNC project, which is expected to complete the first project in WTC BDNC complex in the near future. This is a work related to exhibition area with an area of 22,000m2. We hope that this is the first foundation for developing and supporting service formation in Binh Duong province”.
Ms. Huynh added that in the first stage of operation, the project would attract about 10 international events annually and other large and small events. On average, each event will attract 3,000-5,000 international visitors, which is the good condition and basis for Binh Duong workforce to upgrade their skills, foreign languages, as well as to provide better services. This is also an important part to shift the labor structure from workers to those providing services in fields such as exhibitions, seminars, conferences... This first effort is also the next foundation for projects related to the area of WTC BDNC building with a scale of over 30 floors, which will attract new FDI companies to set up their headquarters in Binh Duong new city, creating many jobs as well as attracting more experts to this area, is the stimulus for development.
WTC BDNC is an important part of the general planning, create an urban structure and a modern image of the new city. This is a complex in terms of functions, including diverse types of services, full of utilities, spreads over 70,000m2. It will be an ideal destination for business, cultural, and community activities taking place all day and night. This will be a complex including international fairs and conference centers, hotels, shopping malls, office area, Metro stations connected to Metro Line 1 of Ho Chi Minh City. In the near future, WTC BDNC is a full-service economic and commercial center serving all residents living and working in the smart city.
Global trade connection
In order to foster partnerships between domestic and foreign companies in Vietnam and integrate into global supply chains, WTC BDNC cooperates with BW Industrial, European Association in Vietnam (EUROCHAM), and Hong Kong Trade Promotion Agency ti hold the "WTC 2020 Trade Connection Program" on Dec 4 at Provincial Exhibition and Convention Center. The program is expected to welcome about 300 attendees, who are owners of foreign SMEs and FDI enterprises in Binh Duong, 40 exhibitors, service providers in industrial zones.
The goal of the formation and development of WTC BDNC is to connect and help local businesses develop international trade, develop Binh Duong to be a dynamic area with diversified professional services, capable of global trade development, and increase attraction of real estate projects in the region. Nguyen Hoang Vu, Deputy General Director of Becamex IDC, said: “Becamex IDC wishes to establish a complex that provides commercial services to attract international traders, foreign investors coming to work together and cooperate with SMEs in the province and neighboring provinces. WTCBD is a potential project to develop the new city area into a commercial destination in Vietnam and of the region”.
In the past one year, despite of the Covd-19, Directors Board of WTC BDNC and 330 other members around the world held 16 trade events, business and technology exchanges from Asia, Australia, America, Europe. Huynh Dinh Thai Linh, Director of WTC BDNC, said: “Throughout these programs, WTC BDNC attracted 2,000 partners to Binh Duong. These partners said that after Covid-19, Binh Duong would be a favorite destination. They will come to learn about business environment, promote investment in Binh Duong”.
Ms. Huynh added: “The upcoming 4th December event will mark all the activities that the center has carried out in the past with its partners. This is a festival connecting SMEs, providing products and services for businesses investing in industrial zones. As part of a series of upcoming events, the center has organized events such as "a festival for residents and people living in Binh Duong New City"; "Year-end shopping season". From Dec 11 to 13, the center will hold the program "Green lifestyle and Binh Duong urban center".
