Many laborers own houses
Many laborers, namely Le Ba Dinh, Le Thanh Quy, Le Thi Hong…, have felt very happy when owning social apartments, helping them live and work in peace and contentment in Binh Duong.
More than 15,000 laborers have so far owned social apartments invested by Becamex IDC. In early April, Becamex IDC also inaugurated and put 4,895 social apartments into use in four localities, including Thuan An, Ben Cat towns and Bau Bang district. This is the first phase of provincial Project on Social Housing Development and it was completed after two years of construction.
Reportedly, Becamex IDC has developed thousands of social apartments of 30sq.m-57sq.m with the selling price of VND101.65mln-VND581.5mln each. Together with the government’s credit package of VND30trillion, Becamex IDC has given incentives for home buyers.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the phase 1 of provincial social housing project invested by Becamex IDC, Minister of Construction Trinh Dinh Dung said that this has been the country’s biggest and successful social housing project so far. Binh Duong has made efforts in perfecting procedures for the project, attached special importance to sorting out reasonable design measures, managed to reduce construction costs, but still ensured the quality of work…
Breakthrough
The objective of provincial Program on Social Housing Development is to develop 1.7 million square meters of floor area, supplying accommodations for 175,000 people. But, after five years of implementing the Program, the whole province has developed a total of 82 social housing projects at 238,000 people’s demand for housing with total floor area of nearly 3.9 million square meters.
Thousands of poor laborers have till now owned social apartments in the province, specially ones from Becamex IDC’s social housing projects. Among them, Hoa Loi and Viet-Sing social housing area projects are most noticeable. They have got crowded with laborers only after two years of inauguration.
According to a report by provincial Department of Construction, many companies have registered to develop social houses under provincial Party Committee’s Action Program No.27. Among them, there are two State-run companies full of experience in social housing development. They are Becamex IDC and Binh Duong Production-Export Import Corporation.
Specially, some investors of housing development projects have also asked permission of the local functional agencies to change their projects into social housing ones for low-income laborers at society’s demand. The First Home Premium Binh Duong project of National Housing Organization (N.H.O) is a typical example for this.
Possibly speaking, Binh Duong’s policy on social housing development for low-income laborers is very sound. It has contributed to promoting tens of social housing projects in the province, thereby helping laborers keep their mind on work and make contributions to the local development.
