Tet holiday is approaching, activities of goods reserve and trade at trade centers and supermarkets have ensured adequate supply in service for local residents’ shopping demand in the upcoming Tet holiday.

On the days nearing Tet, weather often becomes cold. This is a favorable condition for appearance of epidemic diseases on cattle and poultry herds. To ensure safety for cattle and poultry herds and food source for the coming Tet holiday, the provincial Veterinary Sector has mapped out concrete plans before, during and after Tet.

In December, Vietnam’s total export turnover of agriculture, forestry and aquaculture reached an estimated USD 2.2 billion, raising the figure for the whole year to USD 25 billion, a 27.9 percent increase from last year, reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The impressive figure surpassed the set target of USD 23 billion for 2011.

So far, there have not been official reports on the 2012 Tet bonuses from province-based businesses. But, according to representatives from some businesses, employees will still enjoy Tet bonuses this Tet, but modest because businesses are facing difficulties.

An awards ceremony was held in Hanoi on December 25 to reward the 100 products and services that have won consumer trust this year.

It is known that Phan Van Tieng Rubber Plantation’s target of rubber latex exploitation in 2011 is 1,900 tons of rubber latex. As of Dec.20, Phan Van Tien Rubber Plantation exploited 1,903 tons of rubber latex, 11 days earlier than planned.
