The provincial People’s Committee just asked relevant agencies to promulgate on e-commerce and online shopping week 2011 according to requests from the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

The fair attracted 8,000 jewelry makers, businesses, and top skilled craftsmen in Vietnam.

This will be the biggest fair so far covering 900sq.m. with 617 pavilions plus a food court area.

In 2010 alone, Vietnam earned US$235 million from shipping in plastic products to the Japanese market, up 27.7 percent compared to the previous year. Total plastics exports are estimated to reach US$255 million this year.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Diep Kinh Tan emphasized that over the past 25 years, Vietnam’s rice production has achieved remarkable developments in terms of productivity, quality, science and technology. From a food importer, Vietnam has become one of the world’s leading rice exporters and has ensured national food security every year.

Manpower training focused

Aeon is a Japanese famous group of retail with investments in many nations. In Binh Duong, Aeon trade center project will be built next to Vietnam-Singapore I industrial park. The 6ha project has completed procedures for license granting.

Nguyen Thanh Thuy in Suoi Tre hamlet, Long Nguyen commune, Ben Cat district has succeeded in growing green-skin grapefruit. Thanh Thuy grapefruit quality and trademark are not only famous but consumed inside and outside of the country.

Vietnam is set to achieve a GDP growth of between 6-6.5 percent and a 13 percent increase in export turnover in 2012. 

The event, scheduled to be held December 7-10 in Ho Chi Minh City, will be important for Vietnam, as well as the entire Indochinese region.

The seminar, themed "Growth and Resilience - the ASEAN Story" focused on investment opportunities, financial markets and ASEAN’s economic advantages over other developing regions.

The country’s exports in the past ten months have already reached US$78 billion, but many Vietnamese businesses are running short of investment capital to cope with market fluctuations.

With results in the past 10 months of this year, the provincial FDI attraction and export in 2011 will reach a good growth and proposed plan.  

Agribank signed a cooperative agreement with the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (Vicofa) to boost coffee development and exports.

Almost 1,000 booths for the Second Vietnam Rice Festival on November 8-11 in the Mekong delta province of Soc Trang have already been booked, said Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Trung Hieu.
