Tan Uyen district’s People’s Committee, in collaboration with the Dong Nai Television-Radio Station, has just held a program named “Together with poor children to enjoy the lunar New Year 2012”.

 

The People’s Committee of Tan Binh ward in Di An town, on Jan.16, donated Tet gifts to 25 poor households and 285 households that rendered service to the country.

This year, many immigrant workers will stay in Binh Duong to enjoy Tet because of difficult conditions. The province’s agencies, sectors and businesses have also paid more attention to taking care of these workers, helping them have a warm Tet.

Binh Duong Vocational Training Junior College, on Jan.14, donated 180 Tet gifts worth VND330,000 each, comprising of rice, cooking oil, sugar, milk, instant noodle, seasoning powder, soy sauce, confectionary…, to poor households in TDM town.

Over the past years, the company actively got involved in social charity activities for the sake of the community, including donating unity houses, gifts, scholarships… to poor people in many provinces and cities nationwide. In 2011 alone, it spent around VND3bln on social charity activities.

Reportedly, after 2 years of implementing the project, the project has brought initial results in training jobs for nearly 800,000 rural laborers. The ratio of trainees enjoying jobs has reached over 70%.

In the evening of Jan. 14, at Thuan An Timber Processing JSC, Vietnam Rubber Corporation’s Labor Union held a program named “Warm Spring” for laborers of rubber industry in a bid to create a healthy playground for immigrant workers who can not afford to come back their homeland for Tet. On the occasion, Vietnam Rubber Corporation’s Labor Union granted 180 gifts worth VND240mil to poor rubber laborers.

This Tet, Binh Duong province-based BIDV branch (BIDV Binh Duong) will further implement its “Tet gifts for the poor”  program.

 Two donors, Pham Thi Lien and Nguyen Thi Lon, in TDM town’s Phu My ward, on Jan.13, visited and presented Tet gifts worth VND240,000 each, including rice, sugar, soy sauce, seasoning powder, instant noodle…, to 40 poor and disable people in the quarter 2 of the ward (photo).
