Efficiency of traffic safety needs synchronous measures
Binh Duong is located on important routes of National Highways 13, 14, trans-Asia route and so on. Owing to advantage of traffic, the number of vehicles going through the province has become denser with about 3 million vehicles per year. To excel traffic safety and order, the provincial Public Security in cooperation with departments and agencies has launched plans and measures to improve efficiency of traffic order and safety.

Five houses of compassion donated to disable people in Binh Duong
The Emulation Group No.8 of the Red Cross Societies of the Southeastern provinces, on June 21, donated five houses of compassion to poor and disable people in Ben Cat and Phu Giao districts.
42 houses of compassion presented to poor women
Provincial Women’s Union in the first half of the year has donated 42 houses of compassion worth more than VND1.2bln to poor women. Of these, provincial Businesswomen’s Club mobilized its members to build 8 houses worth VND200mln; provincial Women’s Unions at all levels mobilized donors to build 33 houses worth more than VND1bln.
Nearly VND35bln spent on social charity activities
Provincial Red Cross Society has mobilized organizations and individuals to contribute nearly VND35bln for social charity activities with 124,000 poor people getting help in the first half of the year.
Over 41,450 laborers get jobs
In the first half of 2011, Binh Duong province has introduced new jobs to 41,450 laborers or more than 100% of this year’s plan. Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has also granted 836 new labor licenses, re-granted 81 labor licenses and extended 371 labor licenses for foreign laborers who are working for province-based businesses while granting 6,600 labor books for laborers.

After 5 years of “charity home” program sponsored by Binh Duong Television, live hood of 140 poor households has been enlightened.

Together with its economic growth momentum, Binh Duong now absorbs large crowds of immigrant laborers. But, Binh Duong and other many localities face a shortage of laborers, especially skilled ones, making hindrance for businesses.

Phu Giao: 240 officers in An Phuoc Prison donate blood
Ho Chi Minh City’s Haematology and Blood Transfusion Centre of Cho Ray Hospital has coordinated with Red Cross in Phu Giao District and leaders of An Phuoc Prison to organize blood donation for the third time. Attending the event was 240 officers who donated 257 units that will be stored by the center for saving human life.
Action month for drug control launched in Hanoi
An action month for drug control was launched in Hanoi on June 19 by the National Committee for HIV/AIDS, Drugs and Prostitution Prevention and Control in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Education and Training and the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee.
