Club for women involving in traffic safety was established by Phu Hoa ward Women Union one month ago. The club has contributed to minimize traffic accidents remarkably.

Since early this year, TDM town’s People’s Committee has organized a lot of support programs for poor households.

A camping festival for the disabled, co-held by Chanh Phu Hoa Center, Binh Duong Center for vocational training for the disabled, Thuan An Center for disabled children took place at Suoi Tien Tourism Site in HCMC’s district 9 on Dec. 4.

With the motto of “The State and people cooperate together”, Phu Giao district in 2010 conducted 42 rural routes with a total length of over 34km, worth over VND7.3bil, winning 100% of its yearly plan. Of the amount, VND5bil is disbursed from the district budget and the remaining expenses from communal budget and the public.

On Dec.3 and 4, provincial Steering Board for the “Raising awareness of the laws among youths” project held a class for nearly 200 propagandists under provincial volunteer youth squad for dissemination of the laws.

According to Thuan An district’s People’s Committee, the district put 11 basic construction works into operation, prepares for the completion of 6 basic construction works and starting 18 others under the plan.

In 2010, Phu Giao district’s Youth Union has continued promoting the “Youths help each other in economic development” campaign via many forms with a total value of more than VND150mln. A total loan of VND130mln was also disbursed for the local youths to develop homebased business.

In promotion of the voluntary spirit of local youths and unionists and role of the local Club for Young Doctors, the provincial Committee for Youth Federation held a voluntary program at the Central Highlands province of Dac Lac from Dec. 2-4. The program is to offer free health treatment and medicines for poor people in Vu Bon commune, Krong Pac district, Dac Lac province.

Education for Nature-Vietnam has slammed the Thanh Hoa Province administration for allowing official agencies to auction tiger-bone glue seized from a local resident.

 On Dec.2, provincial Sponsoring Society for the Disabled, Orphans and Poor Patients and provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs jointly held a get-together to mark the International Day for Persons with Disabilities and the 2nd conference honoring outstanding disable people, orphans and donors.

This year, the company has spent VND120mln on building gratitude houses for policy beneficiary families across the province.
