Giving job consultancy, vocational training to rural laborers
Provincial Women’s Union has just joined hands with provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to kick off a program on “Job consultancy and vocational training for rural laborers” and disseminate the campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” to chiefs and deputy chiefs of the local Women’s Unions of 91 communes, wards and townships.
Many supportive measures for women’s homebased business development
Since the start of this year, the provincial Women Union at all levels have implemented the supportive movement for women’s homebased business development. The movement has lured over 5,500 sisters to help over 9,400 needy women with the total value of VND17.5bil. Besides, all level sub-societies subscribed VND17.5bil from the program of “Day for poor women”. From the collection, 2,905 poor sisters enjoyed non-interest loans worth more than VND2.5bil.

Provincial club of volunteers brings joy to people
The club is expanding to all volunteers in the province irrespective of their positions or religion the share common target of helping people through difficulties to be integrated into the community. Established in 1993 the club is a part of province’s Red Cross. Taking the teaching of Uncle Ho to protect people’s health and by a true heart do whatever meaningful to reduce grief, the club has been operating and reaching to other provinces in the past 5 years. They come with a kind heart as well as gifts to flood-hit and remote areas, to ethnic communities, to handicaps, to Agent Orange victims, to heroic mothers, and to the poor.
Japan helps disabled children in Binh Duong
The Japanese Government signed a contract on Dec. 10 to give aid to hearing impaired children at the Thuan An Centre for Handicapped Children in the southern province of Binh Duong.
Tan Uyen’s cooperatives reach over VND568bln in revenue

“Orchid” Tuan
In 2008, after joining in a training course on horticulture held by Tan Uyen district Youth Union, Pham Minh Tuan was charmed by a model of planting orchids. With 500 initial orchid trees, he has drawn experiences for himself and searched more information from other orchid growers. After that he purchased additional 2,000 other orchid trees worth VND20mil. As a result, he has gained the initial success.
Labor disputes solved
Since the start of this year, Ben Cat district has occurred 14 collective labor disputes with the participation of 8,757 workers. The labor disputes happened at My Phuoc I, II, III, Viet Huong II IPs and some businesses outside IPs. The reason of the disputes lay in slowness of salary payment and so on.
