Deaf children at Thuan An district Center for Disabled Children over days enjoyed X’mas activities with many games and gifts.

According to statistics, the whole province had 7,417 poor households in early this year. Thanks to the programs on poverty reduction and job generation effectively implemented, the number of poor households in the province was estimated at 3,044 or 1.38% of total and there were around 4,377 households near poverty as of October.

Laborers register unemployment insurance at the local Job Center. Implementing the Government’s regulation on unemployment insurance, the provincial department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs steered and guided the local Job Center to hold 4 locations of receiving laborers’ files on unemployment subsidy.

In 2010, the death toll in local labor accidents increases 3 cases, killing 22 people. The reason of the labor accidents lies in laborers’ poor awareness and subjectiveness on labor process and employers’ poor execution on labor safety and hygiene.
