What is new with Tet holiday allowances upon increase of minimum salary?
From and on January 01, 2011, minimum salary of laborers working for domestic and FDI enterprises will increase by VND 100,000-300,000 a month. The increase is thanks to issuance of two decrees No. 107 and No. 108 both stipulating on minimum wage system. Binh Duong Newspaper’s reporter interviewed Mr. Nguyen Phung Trung – Vice Director of Labor Invalids and Social Affairs Department on this increase.
Charity houses granted to veterans
In the morning of December 16, BIWASE granted one charity house to Mai Duc Hue, a veteran living in Cay Cam, An Binh, Phu Giao. The 40-sq-m house is cost VND 35 million, in which BIWASE donated VND 20 million. On the same day, Ho Chi Minh City’s Army HQ granted another charity house to Dang Tieng Si, a veteran residing at Xom Bung, Thanh Tuyen, Dau Tieng in witness of Dau Tieng District People’s Committee. The 70-sq-m house is sponsored by the HQ at the cost of VND 55 million.
