From Jan.4 to Feb.22, provincial Job Center received 1,603 laborers with unemployment insurance applications. Of the total, 996 were considered for unemployment insurance payment. The number of laid-off laborers requiring the center to transfer their unemployment insurance benefits to other localities were 760 and there were also 6 laid-off laborers from other localities to move to Binh Duong to enjoy unemployment insurance benefits…

Since early 2010, Binh Duong has had 518,000 people with compulsory social insurance, 15 times higher than 1995. There have been 1,500 people with voluntary social insurance. The number of people participating in unemployment insurance has accounted for 94% out of those with social insurance.

A reporter lost his leather wallet containing important papers on the way to office. After searches everywhere, he received a call from Duong Van Binh, a contractor of Becamex IDC, telling that his boy named Duong Quoc Tuan, a 3rd grader of Phu Hoa II primary school, picked his wallet and invited him to his house to retake it.

Under the sponsor of Dai Nam Van Hien Paradise, Thuan An district’s horticulture society-based artisans of Nguyen Van Tan, Le Van Trang Le Ngoc Diep and Nguyen Van Nam created this work, being displayed at the tourism site. The work is a symbol of a tiger welcoming Lunar New Year 2010 and completed within 30 days. All materials of this work include a various kinds of fruits and flowers. It is 14m in length, 9,5m in height, 3m in width and weights about 10 tons.

The number of young workers staying in Binh Duong for Tet this year saw increase compared to the previous years. Thanks to the attention of provincial leaders and Youth Unions at all levels, these young workers also enjoyed a warm Tet.

Lady Thien Hau Temple Festival in Binh Duong province is not only a festival of 4 Chinese colonies in Thu Dau Mot town but a common festival for local people and pilgrims nationwide for a long time. According to the organizing board of Lady Thien Hau Temple Festival, on peak days from the 12th of lunar first month to the end of lunar first month, the number of devotees visiting to pagoda will increase sharply. The board in cooperation with local authorities ensures safety for devotees.
