A prosperous spring is overwhelming Phu Giao district’s An Binh commune where crowds with ethnic people groups. The communal vice chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen said the locality now has 206 ethnic households with 875 people, over 95% of whom are Khmer people and over 70% enjoy a prosperous life.

Provincial People’s Committee has just anounced a schedule for firework performing shows on occasion of Lunar New Year. The time will be 00:00 to 00:15 on New Year Eve (February 14th) in:

From February 5th to 9th, Mrs. Trang Hue Lan – Vice Editor-in-chief of Binh Duong Newspaper, has joined up a charity group of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Xuyen (Thanh Dat Rubber private corporation and Mrs. Kim Tuoi, Mrs. Kim Nhan, Mrs. Kim Thuy and Mrs. Kim Minh to pay gift visits to 14 poor and privileged households across Thu Dau Mot town, Phu Giao, Dau Tieng, and Tan Uyen district. Each household according to specific status received gifts worthed VND 500,000 and an allowance from VND 5 to 10mln. The total amount of VND 130mln is donated by Mrs. Nguyen Thi Xuyen. On this occasion, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Xuyen has also donated VND 20 mln to Tan Hiep People’s Committee for construction of charity houses.

As of now, provincial Red Cross Society and its affiliates have donated more than 13,400 Tet gifts worth nearly VND2.7bln to the blind, the poor and Agent Orange victims across the province. Many mass organizations and businesses have also actively got involved in visiting and presenting Tet gifts to the poor so that they can enjoy Tet.

TDM University just held a get-together for 36 students with difficult circumstances.

On Feb.5, provincial Foreign Affairs Department, in collaboration with the Korean Business Association and Quoc Khai Co., presented Tet gifts worth between VND300,000 or VND400 each to 220 poor households and those near the poverty line in Dau Tieng district’s Thanh Tuyen commune. Of the total cost, VND48mln and VND30mln came from the Korean Business Association and Quoc Khai Co., respectively.
