Since early this year, there have been 4 labor accidents reported in the province, killing 4 people and injuring 6 others. In 2009 alone, the province had a total of 23 serious labor accidents, killing 24 people.

The Youth Union of Binh Chuan commune in Thuan An district, in collaboration with provincial Management Board of the HIV/AIDS Prevention Project among Youths, on Mach 13, held a propaganda night on the laws on HIV/AIDS and drug prevention in response to the Youth Month 2010.
