Mrs. Le Thi Mien from Binh Phuoc province taking her daughter to Binh Duong for the university entrance exam 2014 said "Without volunteer students, I and my daughter can not manage to seek out a cheap price lodging room and exam location. I hope that my daughter will reach good result in the exam". Most of the volunteer students joining in the exam season assistance program were trained skills to answer questions relating to university entrance exams, exam procedures and locations. Nguyen Duy Linh, the 2nd year student of Thu Dau Mot University said that this is the second year she takes part in the exam season assistance program. Each program leaves her good memories. "Participating in the exam season assistance program or green summer campaign, students will realize their value. Students should join in social works to grow up and feel confident in the future life", Duy Linh said. Helping examinees In addition to instructing examinees to find out exam locations, volunteer students positively introduce cheap price boarding rooms for them. Thu Dau Mot University's students implemented a survey to encourage boarding rooms' owners to reduce room price for examinees. Le Van Hai, secretary of Thu Dau Mot University's youth union cum head of the Thu Dau Mot university exam season assistance program said that this is the fourth time the university opens the exam season assistance program. In this year, the university holds 9 assistance locations including 7 ones at exam areas and 2 at Binh Duong coach terminal and Dinh market junction. The program attracts 150 volunteer students. In addition, the university enjoys assistance from Viettel's Binh Duong branch which offers 150 T-shirts, 3,000 leaflets. Meanwhile, Huu Nghi bread company in Sai Gon donates 6,000 loaves, 2,000 rice portions, Vinh Hao mineral water company supports drinking water, Ngoc Minh Temple grants 120 rice portions to examinees. With efforts of volunteer students plus charity of donors, examinees will feel comfortable to gain good results in the university entrance exams. Especially, many students share their accommodation with examinees. For instance, Nguyen Thi My Hanh, the third year student of Binh Duong Medicine College, Pham Thi Long Mi, the third year student of Thu Dau Mot University are typical examples. "In the past, I enjoyed assistance from volunteer students and now I help poor examinees", Long Mi revealed. In a small lodging room in quarter 4, Phu Hoa ward, 3 examinees from many provinces and cities live together and prepare for the incoming university entrance exams. Le Thi Lien from the Northern province of Thanh Hoa, the examinee of Thu Dau Mot University said "I have no any relatives here and that makes me scared. But now I feel more comfortable in spirit because I enjoy assistance from Long Mi. I and 2 other examinees live in the lodging room and pledge to gain good results to be Thu Dau Mot University's to-be students".
