10th-grade high school entrance exam for 2025-2026 school year takes place safely and seriously

The 10th-grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year officially concluded after two test days. This exam is one of the most important and highly competitive assessments. This year's exam was evaluated as safe, serious, and initially successful.

Candidates are happy, parents are assured

On the morning of May 29, candidates began the second day of the 10th-grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, with math being the final subject. The previous day, on May 28, candidates took the literature exam, which lasted 120 minutes. In the afternoon, they completed the English exam, allotted 60 minutes for the test.

On May 29, early in the morning, local officials and volunteers arrived promptly to direct traffic and assist parents and candidates despite heavy rain, ensuring that no one arrived late for the exam. At exactly 10:00 a.m., after 120 minutes of testing, the candidates finished the math exam. Upon leaving the exam room, many students felt relaxed and happy, with several candidates describing this year's math exam as relatively "easy."

The exam supervisors call out the candidates’ names and verified their information before they enter the exam room at Examination Council No. 16, located at Ly Thai To High School in Thuan An City.

One of the candidates who exited from Exam Board No. 26 at Tan Phuoc Khanh High School in Tan Uyen City was Nguyen Minh Dung, a student from Binh Chuan Junior High School. He said that he found this year's exam relatively easy and easier than the last mock exam he took. “I do regret the geometry question because I rarely practice that type of question, so I wasn't very confident. But overall, I tried my best and am satisfied with my efforts during the two days of testing,” Minh Dung shared. Meanwhile, Pham Thi Anh Thu, who took the exam at Examination Council No. 33 at Le Loi High School in North Tan Uyen District, commented, “I think this year's math problems were within my ability.”

Alongside the candidates' common joy, many parents felt reassured and happy to greet their children after completing this important exam. Mr. Nguyen Huu Thang, from Khanh Binh Ward in Tan Uyen City, said, “This exam determines whether they can attend their desired high school. Regardless of the results, seeing my child happy makes me feel somewhat reassured.”

After 120 minutes of taking the math test, the candidates finished the exam in a happy and relaxed mood.

The exam takes place seriously and seriously

During the past two exam days, Huynh Ngoc Nhu, the captain of an exam support team at Tan Phuoc Khanh High School, shared, “Our volunteer team this year consists of 15 members, all students of Tan Phuoc Khanh High School. We are here to assist with traffic control, guiding and supporting candidates and parents throughout the exam. We are pleased to contribute to creating the best conditions for candidates to feel secure while taking the exam and to complete it successfully.”

This year's 10th-grade entrance exam follows the guidelines of the 2018 General Education Program. The results of the exam not only determine student enrollment but also serve as a basis for evaluating the effectiveness of the new education program's implementation. To prepare thoroughly and comply with regulations, provincial education and training sector made extensive preparations. This included ensuring adequate facilities, equipment, and review processes while maintaining security, order, and traffic safety.

Additionally, Provincial Department of Education and Training directed relevant units to strictly implement exam organization regulations. Professional training sessions and the dissemination of examination regulations for staff and teachers were conducted systematically. Exam invigilators underwent rigorous training and were clearly assigned roles to prevent any errors during the process.

The schools chosen as Examination Councils were carefully evaluated for their facilities, including camera surveillance systems, examination rooms, and storage areas. Examination inspection procedures were put in place to address any arising issues.

After the two days of the official exam, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhat Hang, Director of Provincial Department of Education and Training, reported that the 10th-grade high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year had generally been conducted safely, in accordance with regulations, and was successfully managed. In the coming days, the education and training sector will focus on organizing the entrance exams for specialized schools and will begin the marking process, ensuring close supervision for timely results.

On the final exam day, authorities and volunteers at the Tan Phuoc Khanh High School Examination Council actively assist parents and candidates despite the rainy weather.

This year, nearly 20,000 candidates participated in the exam across approximately 900 exam rooms. Provincial Department of Education and Training established 47 Examination Councils located in high schools and junior high schools. More than 2,500 officials and teachers from schools and vocational education and continuing education centers were mobilized for exam invigilation and supervision.
